Roman Shades made with a back liner provide energy efficiency similar to a single cell honeycomb. The backing can be sheer, light filtering or room darkening depending on the light control desired. Roman shades offer a traditional, timeless style for any space.
For a truly custom Roman Shade, we recommend Hunter Douglas Vignette Roman Shades. These shades can be made in several different styles – either Stacking, Rolling or even a Duolite -dual opacity shade. And with so many fabrics & colors to choose from, the possibilities are endless.
The Stacking Style Vignette Roman Shades is a traditional style roman with soft 4” full fabric folds stacking at the top of the shade. The stacking style can also be made with Top Down-Bottom Up operation for even greater light control. The Stacking Style is available cord-free, motorized or can be operated with a continuous loop cord with tensioner.
The Rolling Style Vignette offers an unobstructed view out as the fabric rolls up into the headrail. The fabric can either soft 4” Folds or flat-6” folds. This option is best if you prefer a clean modern look and only need the shades to operate from the bottom up. The Rolling Style can be operated with a cord free lift, manual wand or even with a Powerview Motorized option.
DuoLite is another option that is even more versatile. A sheer flat fold front fabric offers view through to the outside, and a room darkening back panel that can be lowered for privacy at night. Or roll the front & back fabrics completely up into the headrail for an unobstructed view. The Duolite option is only available with PowerView-Motorized lift.
